Things have been going well with my Blogvertise Campaign.

I wanted to thank everyone who has been clicking on my Little "X" logo found on the Blogvertise website. At this point I am up to 195 clicks!!

I also want to thank Chris at Webtrepreneur who runs the Blogvertise Website. He generously gave me an 80 pixel by 80 pixel Ad space. I was able to put up my Huge "X" logo.

You can see it by clicking on this orange logo .

If you look to the right of the screen you will see a grey box with my gold "X" in it. It has moved up into 5th place with 50 clicks.

I finally managed to get all the pennies from the jug of pennies into a DTAMP bank account and will be figuring out what to do with the funds.

I have been working on the Creative Connections website and am getting towards the end. I should be getting another payment, in a short time, which will get me to Step 18.

In addition, since my last post I found ($0.26) while shopping.

Double To A Million - Step 17 - Sold Stock: HMIT

On May 23rd, 2007 I purchased 65 shares of HMIT at $0.79 a share for total cost of $51.35.

The next day, which was yesterday, I sold all the shares for $0.94 per share, a total of $61.10 returned for a 18.99% net profit totaling $9.75 .

I could have done better if I had held it longer, but I didn't like the way this stock was behaving. I hadn't realized it was as volatile as it was. I think had I realized it at the time I would have dealt with the trading of the stock differently.

Overall it was good, as I was able to increase my stake, which is always a good thing.

I also joined Mediadollarz under Rachel to help her out because of her emergency home repairs.

The other site I joined, a short time ago, was InBoxDollars. Presently, I am up to $13.47 and I have another $1.00 coming from a survey I completed last night, plus some change from reading a few emails and doing some searches . Step 17 - Detecting a WingNut

If the truth be told I am not feeling very inspired to write lately. The most I have felt up to is to just post an update from time to time regarding how well the Double My Way To A Million Stake is coming along.

I found a couple of pennies while wandering around. I also made Fifty cents ($0.50) on the unused portion of money earning interest in the Brokerage Account.

I was also given an older model Radio Shack Micronta Discovery2 Metal Detector - Treasure Finder Catalog Number 63-3004 to use in searching for coins or other treasures for DTAMP. They didn't want it anymore and it was just taking up space so they gave it to me. I am not sure that it works yet because I do not have two Nine Volt batteries to test it out.

Here is a picture of the Metal Detector.

I use to have a more expensive metal detector many, many years ago. I remember one day while I was working at Radio Shack this guy came in and wanted to rent a Metal Detector. Of course Radio Shack didn't rent anything, and I don't think at that time Radio Shack even sold metal detectors of any kind, but I can't quite remember that. This was around 1978.

I didn't know why he wanted one and it came out during our conversation that I had my own personal metal detector at home.

He asked me if he could hire me for $25.00 to come and find something for him. I said sure and after my shift at Radio Shack I ran home and got my detector.

I then came back and met him. He was the owner or manager of a Carvel Ice Cream store and what had happened was that a wingnut had fallen off one of the mixers during the time they were making around 30 of those kind of expensive Ice Cream Cakes.

So this guy had around 30 cakes that he couldn't sell because there could be a wing nut in one of them. Prime lawsuit material for him should someone get a cake with a large wingnut in it.

So he asked me if I could search the cakes and find the wingnut. I asked him for a cardboard box and set it up and said alright now bring me a cake. I ran the detector over it and found nothing. They brought a second cake and sure enough "Ping!" or more like "Howwwllll with a high pitched squeel". The detector went off and they cut into the cake and there it was. The wingnut.

The guy was very thankful, paid me $25.00 and gave me the damaged cake which was very good by the way. It took me about 5 minutes to find it.

I also found someone's set of keys that were lost in a garden while the person was rototilling it. I did find some coins with it and other things over time as well but mostly it was a great tool for finding things people lost.

I am hopeful that it will find things to help me with DTAMP.

I have wanted to add a donation option to this Blog for awhile and I have finally done it. If anyone feels they would like to assist me in my adventure then click the donation button in the sidebar. No gift is too small or large and it will be greatly appreciated.

Step 17 - Five Reasons Why I Blog

I have a few things to update, but first I have been asked to play Tag. It looks like I may be "IT". Now that I finally have the chance to write about it, I have been tagged by Laura at My Journey to One Million Dollars and in this Tag Game I have to give five reasons why I blog.

OK, here goes.

1. Required Reporting - According to the Report How To Double Your Way To A Million In 28 Steps, Rule # 6 says "You must keep a diary of the events". At first I kept a private log but I decided to make it public for reasons I will speak of below.

2. Expression of Creative Overflow - I found that a blog is a great avenue to express myself creatively, in word, humor, poetry, art and any other concept I can come up with, as I continue my Journey through the land of Doubling To A Million. I get to allow it to flow in the venue the inspiration desires at any given time at all hours of the night and day.

3. Ease of Use - It is easier to continually update a blog then attempt to update a regular website and it is able to be done so consistently without a lot of html adjustment, etc. everytime I want to add something new. So I choose the blog method to the standard website method for DTAMP.

4. Making Money - I figured that if I have to keep a log of my D.T.A.M.P. project I mine as well do it in a way that might provide some additional income that can be added to the "Stake".

5. Reclusivity - I am a recluse, an ultra-mega-isolationilistic-solitudinal-private individual, almost on the verge of complete hermitibility status, but even a hermit has to have some social contact. This blogging concept is juuuuuuust right.

Step 16 - The Slow Motion Step

How To Double Your Way To A Million In 28 StepsThings have been (very) slow lately as far as adding funds to my "Stake".

The website design has met with different barriers that have also slowed it's progress.

Today, I calculated the interest that was earned on the funds still sitting in the Penny Stocks Brokerage account. It came to ($0.51) which I added to the stake total.

I have been spending some time working over at the - "Doubler's Den Forum"

Now lets talk about "Step 16". I call it the slow motion step. For some reason it is a tough step to get through. It may be a fact, that is yet to be determined, that all future steps are going to be equally grueling to get through as step 16 has been. It could also be true that Step 16 is unique for various reasons that elude me at the moment. We shall see as the future unfolds.

In the meantime, I have come up with a few new ideas that I hope to implement in the near future. I have the funds to begin to bring these ideas into fruition so I am working out the fine details. What I need to determine now is do I have the drive to get them completed.

It looks like I may discontinue the Penny Stock pursuit, at least at this time. I do not feel I have enough funds to risk in such a venture. Out of the $51.20 I invested, the equities are only worth $18.00 . I am not too hopeful for the recovery of the stocks I purchased, but I might pull through this one by the skin of my teeth, if an amazing stroke of fortune happens by me.

This a devastating blow to my overall "Stake" . It is a loss of 15.93% of my present stake of $208.38 if I were to liquidate my positions.
