October was pretty much a month frozen in time for me. I have had bad experiences in the past with the month of October and Trading Stock so I refrained from trading.

As a result I missed a great move in Oil that could have made me, had everything gone perfectly about 50%. I got the signal but refused to move. I was paralyzed for the most part.

I decided that come November I would start to act and still have not. Oil has been jumping around and that would have lead to some good trades over the last two days. But still I just stare at the screen.

Thats OK.

I did manage to find a few bits of change for DTAMP over the month of October, but I haven't been going many places. My feet are not doing to well and I walk with a cane when they are at their worse, so looking for coins or searching for bottles and cans, has become a bit unenjoyable.

Something good came in the mail yesterday and that was a check from InBoxDollars for $28.50, which was nice. Inboxdollars is pretty easy to use. I just opened a mail account with Yahoo and had them send the emails there. I click on the advertisements every few days and when it builds to $30.00 I make a withdrawal.

Seems to be working well over the few years I have been doing it.

Today a check arrived in the mail from InBoxDollars for ($27.84) . Click on the Inboxdollars link above to begin earning some extra stake funds. They give you the first $5.00 for signing up. I didn't find it to difficult to earn the additional $25.00 to get a payout.

I also recently received ten dollars ($10.00) for helping someone install and learn about a new printer purchase.

Plus a few additional funds are due in hopefully soon. Someone made a purchase with Megastep International and I am expecting around $9.99 before PayPal fees and I made it to above a $100.00 limit level on another unnamed internet source and am expecting a payout. But it could be a month or more before seeing it.

Slowly, I am closing in on the Step 19 threshold of $1280.00, I am only $180.91 away from that goal.

My trades have been improving lately. I mentioned in a comment on the last post that I felt a bottom was hit and a short term turn around was about to take place and it did. So the negative trades improved a little over that time but I am still in trouble with them at this point. Yesterday I felt we hit a short term top and there was going to be a pull back, that is why I sold Etrade (described below).

Trade #1 for($738.53) is down (-22.77%) and Trade #2 for($296.72) is down (-6.73%) as of yesterday.

Needless to say I am somewhat cranky about them.

My own personal trading has been going well. For my own Family Mutual Fund Account which I started this January, I purchased Etrade and sold it a week and a half later for a profit of +35.40% bringing the overall fund up to a gain of +7.08% for the year so far.

I just wish I was doing as well with the DTAMP funds.

Personally, I am following the rules as they are laid out in the report as exactly as is humanly possible. Since I have always been somewhat of a rebel and only followed the laws that I made, I decided to be very rebellious and follow the rules exactly as specified in spite of the fact that it was just to easy to not follow them. Snubbing my nose at the easy way of doing things I became what has been lovingly referred to as a "Purist". But the bottom line is I am following the rules because I am such a contrarian, rebel. So there.

The truth is I am finding it hard to follow the rules, in the sense I could be so much further along without them.

But I have found that being forced to follow them I learned some things that changed me to such an extent that for the first time in many decades I finally learned how to successfully trade equities and be profitable. It is my opinion that it was following the rules in this Doubling Adventure that revealled in me some things that needed changing and resulted in a change in my progress as a trader.

Just to give some examples:

Last year I decided to apply the Double to a Million technique to a few trading accounts.

In the 401k I took $1,000 and decided to double that to One million. I made two trades with the funds and made a profit of +40.982% .

In the Zecco account I started with $1,000 in December 2007 and made +9.78% for the month.

In all my other trading accounts I made for 2007, +37.98% ,+27.103% .

The Dtamp funds made +20.259% for 2007 after moving the funds to Etrade in July.

I have never done this well in trading or investing, consistently, ever before and I believe it is due in part to what I learned from following the rules in the Double To A Million report.

Now I am not saying what worked for me will work for anyone else. Everyone is different and has different issues and things to learn. But I am grateful that I was able to get out of it what I did and have changed as a result.

Each person needs to decide for themselves how they want to progress through this adventure. No two people are alike and what works for one will not work for another. But I think if you give following the rules a chance you may get some things out of it you might miss otherwise. Its possible.

Double To A Million - Step 17 - Sold Stock: HMIT

On May 23rd, 2007 I purchased 65 shares of HMIT at $0.79 a share for total cost of $51.35.

The next day, which was yesterday, I sold all the shares for $0.94 per share, a total of $61.10 returned for a 18.99% net profit totaling $9.75 .

I could have done better if I had held it longer, but I didn't like the way this stock was behaving. I hadn't realized it was as volatile as it was. I think had I realized it at the time I would have dealt with the trading of the stock differently.

Overall it was good, as I was able to increase my stake, which is always a good thing.

I also joined Mediadollarz under Rachel to help her out because of her emergency home repairs.

The other site I joined, a short time ago, was InBoxDollars. Presently, I am up to $13.47 and I have another $1.00 coming from a survey I completed last night, plus some change from reading a few emails and doing some searches .
